Exploring History by Foot

If you are an avid walker and looking for places to visit by foot then Delhi has pretty much to offer. You can plan your walk starting at Red Fort which is considered as the World Heritage Site of UNESCO. This fantastic monument is also known as Qila-e-Mubarak, which is built during the time of Mughal regime in the mid 17th century. This fort has the shape of irregular octagon which covers the perimeter of 2.41 km. You will also be mesmerized to have the view of Yamuna River flowing beside the fort.

Yet another must visit place is the Qutb Minar which gives the view of open flower like shape. This beautiful monument is considered as the best hangout place with family and friends. This 73 m high tower is situated in Mehrauli and is open all the days. It is a five storey building which has the Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque that is considered to be the first mosque built in India.

Also, one should never fail to explore the delicious food cuisines in the streets of Paranthe Wali Gali and Lala Babu Chaat Bhandar.
