Ice Caves at Chamonix


A spectacular and scenic all-season resort. Known for its glacial-blue ice caves and professional-grade ski area (5 of them, over 50 ski trails), pristine mountains and even some extreme sports activities. Home to the highest mountain in Europe (15,781 feet Mont Blanc). Lots of walking and hiking trails with panoramic views of the summits and valleys of the region.


98 miles from Lyon, France, 106 miles from Turin (famous for the Shroud of Christ), Italy. There are trains and buses from Paris, Lyon or Turin.
